Waunakee Utilities provides water and sewer services to all commercial, industrial, and residential customers in Waunakee.

For water: Peak demand is 1.6000 mgd, its rated capacity is 24.0000 mgd, and its storage capacity is 1,350,000 gallons.  The average capacity is 1.1000 mgd.  It does not have a cap on what it can pump, but the historical pumping record for water was 2.127 mgd, which is the sum of the highest daily pumped amount for each of its active wells. Waunakee has four active groundwater wells, which are the major sources of water for the system, and they do treat the water.  Cost/1000 gallons is $0.16 and there is no connection fee.  Waunakee Utilities publishes their current rates on their website. 

A regional comparison of water rates, compiles by the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin, shows that Waunakee's water rates are within the lowest tier. 

For sewer: The average cost/1000 gallons is $2.54 and there is no connection fee.  Waunakee Utilities publishes their current rates on their website.
